Ann Thoni
Owner, Founder and Professional Photographer
South 40 started with Ann’s vision. A professional photographer with over 28 years of experience, Ann recognized the beauty in the backdrop of Jeff’s family farm. Her experience as a wedding photographer shows her ability to commemorate some of the most cherished moments in a family’s life. Past clients give glowing reviews of Ann’s mix of professionalism and her easy going personality, which immediately endears her to subjects, setting the stage for the ideal photo shoot. Her love of photography is also expressed in her love for teaching the next generation of artists. When Ann isn’t taking photos or dreaming up new plans for South 40, she is spending time with family–including her grandson, CJ–cooking, caring for the South 40 animals, or traveling, in search of new inspiration.

Jeff Thoni
Master Builder of Props, Sets and Backdrops
Jeff, a Licensed Master Electrician, is the resident set designer at South 40. His 40+ years in the electrical industry meld perfectly with the on-the-job training he gained while growing up on the farm to help him create a variety of sets and interesting props which give South 40 an authentic, rural feel. Jeff credits his ability to create and repurpose anything he finds into a depiction of country living to his father and grandfather, who shared their hard work and talent in making use of what was available. From creating magical moments across the farm to displaying and sharing his love of classic cars, Jeff’s endless creativity makes South 40 what it is!

With a background in weddings and an affection for sports photography, Ann Thoni is now looking to share her enthusiasm with budding photographers, use Ann’s outstanding skill and equipment to design and execute your ideal photo shoot!
SET DESIGN & PROP BUILDING
Jeff Thoni is our resident carpenter. His stylish work in set design and details found in his props can be seen throughout the South 40 property. Provide Jeff with your vision and he is sure to delight you with the right addition to your photo or video shoots.
